Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cancellation policy?
To cancel a lesson I require at least 24 hours notice.
For cancellations with less than 24 hours notice the full lesson fee is payable.

In the unlikely event that I need to cancel a lesson with less than 24 hours notice your next lesson is free of charge.

Why are your fees higher than some other tutors?

I tutor professionally, not as a part time hobby, and my track record of results over the past 25 years speaks for itself. I commit to doing the very best I can for my tutees and I achieve this through a combination of high quality teaching materials and a calm, patient approach that is tailored to the needs of the individual.

As a parent, consider that a higher initial outlay could result in your son or daughter getting into their first choice university and ultimately a career and salary they can be proud of, so this could be one of the best investments you make.

How much does it cost?

£95 per online hour for GCSE and A-Level Tuition

Do you offer tuition in A-Level Further Maths?

Yes (Edexcel Board only). Given the wide array of options papers available please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

All lessons are conducted over Zoom so you only need a laptop or PC with audio and video capability. I supply everything else and you’ll get a detailed set of lesson notes at the end of each session which you can access at any time via a shared drive.

Do you offer tuition at GCSE Level?

Yes. I mainly tutor at A-Level but if you are a Year 11 GCSE or IGCSE student aiming for Level 7, 8 or 9 then I can certainly help. I also tutor Further GCSE and CIE Additional Mathematics.

Do you offer tuition in other subjects?

Although I specialise in mathematics, I’m fortunate to be part of a network of trusted professionals whom I have worked alongside for many years. If you need help with other subjects it’s likely I can put you in touch with the right person.

I’m not sure if online tuition is for me?

I offer a free 30 minute trial lesson for complete peace of mind and there’s no obligation to continue if you decide this isn’t for you.
